Here we have a superb example of what most people say is the “last true Mercedes”
1985 Mercedes 500 SEC pillarless coupe. First registered on the 24/ 09/ 1985 to a Mr. Nicholson in Bishops Storford, finished in arguably one of if not the best colour combination of Smoke Silver (702U) with Beige (275) interior. The car has covered a mere 95, 450 miles in it’s 37 years. The car has only had 3 former keepers from new the last from 2008 and the previous from 1991 to 2008.
Body and paint on the car are exceptional as is the interior leather, headlining and carpets.
The maintenance history is excellent with no fewer than 16 stamps in the service book being a combination of Franchise and marque specialist independent, accompanying the service book are stacks of receipts/ invoices for other work carried out as well as numerous MoT certificates. The current MoT is valid till December 2022.
Fitted to the car are a set of original 17” Lorinser alloys shod with Michelin Pilots along with a Lorinser steering wheel. Below is a list of the original specification for the car.
