1958 Matchless G11 600cc Registration Number: UWY 658 Frame Number: A63662 - Comprehensive nut and bolt restoration The Matchless G11, described by enthusiasts as ‘what classic motorcycle riding is all about‘, is a perennial favourite in classic biking circles. In late 1955 the Matchless G9 was stretched to produce the G11, while its counterpart AJS Model 20 became the model 30. The new 600s shared a 593cc engine putting out 33bhp to achieve just under 100mph, and a comfortable cruising speed of 60mph, two up. With their stubby ‘megaphone‘ style silencers, the Matchless G11 was one of the best sounding British twins of its day. This lovely G11 has undergone a total nut and bolt restoration, with everything being carefully recorded in an extensive history file. To improve starting and usability, electronic ignition has also been fitted to the bike. Most likely one of the best G11s for sale at the moment, this bike comes highly recommended.
