The attraction

This is a truly singular piece. You're probably familiar with the work of Henri Chapron, famous for his cabriolet and coupé versions of the legendary Citroën DS. But this vehicle is not one of them. In fact, the Chapron models were two-doors, whereas this car retains its original four-door configuration, with the B and C pillars intact. The roof, meanwhile, folds all the way down to the boot, in a style reminiscent of the Citroën 2CV.

The result is as elegant as it is unusual, and it's highly likely that you've never seen a DS quite like it. With significant investment in 2024, including the conversion of the fuel injection system to a simpler carburettor, this DS23 is a unique opportunity for any enthusiast.

Apart from the roof, the bodywork appears to be preserved and in keeping with the original, apart from the turn indicator repeaters on the wings, in a Chapron-inspired style.
The paintwork and chrome are in very good condition, in keeping with the DS's period style.
