The Appeal

Where the V8 was a firm break from tradition, the Virage was always conceived as a return to Aston Martin’s 60s roots. Taking design cues from the DB5 and 6, it mixed a heavily revised version of Tadek Marek’s superlative 5.3L V8 with a high-end, hand-crafted ethos. These were big, brutal GTs in the very traditional sense.

Just 234 open-top Volantes were built, of which only 121 were RHD cars like this 1993 example. Its Rolls-Royce Royal Blue paintwork and luxurious walnut and light grey leather interior are in great condition, those Heffernan and Greenley lines accented by purposeful five-spoke alloys. The condition is impressive, but then this is a caar that has been sparingly used and highly maintained by Aston Martin Works and well-known ‘blue chip’ marque specialists. We’ve documented the highlights below.

The vendor acquired the car in 2021 to use for his honeymoon. It completed a lengthy tour of the far north reaches of Scotland. Subsequently, it has been sparingly used and garaged in between. We’re told that all servicing and maintenance has been entrusted to Vantage Engineering.

Sold with MOT to June 2026, this handsome all-British rarity is ready to grace your collection.
