The Appeal
The early 1950s were a tough time for German automakers, especially those accustomed to producing high-end motor cars. Nevertheless, Mercedes-Benz bounced back remarkably well, signalling its return to six-cylinder luxury car production with the advent of the 220 in 1951.
Here we have a beautifully restored example of the rare 220 A Cabriolet. Just 1,278 of this model were ever made, and this 220 A is in wonderful order, complete with its factory-fitted luggage.

Having remained in the same family's care since the late 1980s, this 220A has clearly benefited from dedicated ownership and proper storage conditions, preserving both its mechanical integrity and aesthetic appeal.
The vendor says:
"For me, this is a truly unique opportunity to acquire an almost one-of-a-kind piece, perfectly preserved and cared for in every detail. It’s a beautiful car that will surely become one of the most sought-after in the future."
