The Appeal

The Austin Healey 100/6 BN4 marked the arrival of the six-cylinder "Big Healey," bridging the gap between the original four-cylinder 100 and the iconic 3000 that followed. As the 2+2 variant, the BN4 offered an extra row of occasional seats while retaining the muscular, low-slung character that defined the breed. Right-hand drive, UK home-market examples are particularly prized among enthusiasts.

This example was built in December 1956 and first registered on 19th January 1957. Finished in blue over blue leather, it was restored some years ago and the vendor states it still presents well, with only a few minor marks noted. A later 3000 Healey engine has been fitted, and the vendor reports it drives very well. Having passed through just six former registered keepers in nearly 70 years, this is a car that has clearly been valued by its custodians. The car has not been used in recent years as the current owner resides overseas.
