The Appeal
The early 2000s were an exciting time for the VW Group. In just a few years, it had transformed the fortunes of Bugatti and Bentley with an 8.0-litre W16 hypercar and and 6.0-litre W12 grand tourer respectively. It seemed only right Volkswagen should borrow one of these engines for its own cars, and that's we found ourselves able to buy a Continental GT-engined Volkswagen Touareg.
This 2005 Touareg W12 6.0 Sport is one of just ~500 examples produced worldwide. Originally sold in Japan and recently imported to Europe in late 2022, this rare car present in exceedingly smart condition for its age.
Now registered in Latvia with EU type approval, this Touareg awaits its next custodian.
