The Attractions
In the 1960s Michelotti was the right person to turn to for a sporty two-seater with a modern and attractive design. Fiat used his collaboration to design a series of models based on the 600D. These were cars designed to generate higher profits by attracting a more affluent clientele. All Spyders were born as 600Ds at Fiat's Mirafiori plant before being delivered to the nearby Vignale plant in Grugliasco.
Looking at this beautiful '63 Spyder Vignale 750, one cannot fail to appreciate Michelotti's great skill. It is difficult to identify its origins as a small and simple hatchback when admiring its attractive red bodywork and richly detailed interior. This particular example offers us an ideal opportunity to admire the artistry of its designer, as it is in very good condition having been restored in the past. It is almost entirely faithful to its original features, apart from some specially made interior trim.
The history of this car is well documented and is accompanied by a Fiat Certificate of Origin. It has had only four owners, spent most of its life in Milan and was part of a private collection. It retains its black Milan number plates, which will certainly be appreciated by Italian buyers.
It has Italian registration papers and a valid MOT.

Condition
- Restored a few years ago in classic red with black soft top
- The car shows some slight signs of ageing, not unpleasant or particularly noticeable
- The paintwork looks good with some slight defects to be noted in the photos
- Defects include a small scratch on the bonnet that seems easy to correct
- Bodywork in good condition with solid wheel arches, sills and underbody, as shown in the photos
- Correct and well aligned panels with straight lines and even spacing as shown in the photos
- Chrome and badges complete and correct
- The chrome parts show some signs of ageing, such as on the rear bumper which is somewhat tarnished and deteriorated
- Black fabric soft top appears in good order and seems to work properly
- Steel wheels correct and in good condition, with chrome wheel covers and matching spare wheel
- Interior well maintained and in good condition with few signs of ageing
- Seats and small rear bench covered in black vinyl, well maintained
