The Appeal
This 1973 Rover P6 2000 forms part of the carefully curated Blaauwbank collection that includes an eclectic mix of multi-generational cars, a selection of rare and interesting vehicles, carefully stored in purpose-built, climate-controlled dry storage hangars, located in the arid climate of Central South Africa.
We love the rumbling P6 V8, but if you plan to invest in Rover’s last great four-door saloon and properly use it, then arguably you want this car - the 2000 with manual box. Nearly as quick as the 3.5L cars, it offers decent economy too.
This lovely facelift 2000 sports a classic British Racing Green over beige leather combination. It is unmodified, right down to the steel wheels, and nicely preserved thanks to the low mileage of 76,000 miles.
The vendor tells us that it was owned by a single keeper, a university Professor, prior to him adding it to his large collection.
We're informed that the car has been serviced and tuned before sale. Practical and very usable, it would be ideal for a road trip or classic car rally.

✓ We request that a non-refundable fee be paid if you are the lucky winning bidder at auction or if your offer is accepted Please refer to our helpful FAQs and T&Cs for specific rates.

✓ We want a smooth transaction just as much as you do and as such we run all UK-registered cars and motorbikes for sale on Car & Classic through an online HPI check to verify that they show no insurance database markers for damage or theft, and have no finance owing, allowing you to bid with confidence.
✓ We also check whether vehicles are recorded as being written off as part of an insurance total loss claim at the time an advert is placed on Car & Classic and we helpfully provide write-off category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) for your assistance. However, the presence or absence of a label does not guarantee the vehicle’s status and it is always worthwhile carrying out your own full vehicle history check before making an offer on a vehicle.

It is the bidders responsibility to confirm import eligibility prior to purchase.
