The Appeal

The Triumph Vitesse brought smooth six-cylinder power to the Herald platform, offering a more refined and spirited driving experience than its four-cylinder sibling. With overdrive fitted, this is a particularly usable example, well-suited to longer runs, even on 21st-century roads.

This Vitesse has been in the same family for over 30 years, during which time it was painstakingly rebuilt and restored by the seller's late father. A large collection of photos documenting the restoration accompanies the car. It has benefited from recent investment to keep it running well, the vendor adding:

"It’s been owned and driven by my father, who sadly passed two years ago. It was his pride and joy, rebuilding it and restoring it. Just needs to be used rather than sat in our garage."

The vendor notes that some minor mechanical tweaks are still needed, but this is a cherished, long-term ownership example ready for a new custodian.
