The Appeal

Delicate transaxle-assisted balance, torquey 3L 210bhp motors, ABS-equipped brakes, and the sort of robust quality you expect from Porsche all make the revised S2 944 a hugely appealing classic coupe. These cars qualify as classics, but they could easily fulfil daily duties.

This well-maintained Titan Grey S2 seems tailor-made for exactly that. It is a manual gearbox car that the vendor acquired in 2018. Since then he’s invested considerably in making it better. The cambelt and water pump were changed in 2021, less than 2,000 miles ago. The history file shows regular servicing, including 2025. In the same year, the brakes were overhauled and four new Michelin tyres fitted. In 2024 the starter motor was replaced and the car also received some remedial welding work. The mechanicals have been entrusted to specialist Reason Porsche, continuing a theme of previous owners of main dealer and specialist attention.

There are a few minor points to note below, but this is a very usable and pleasingly factory-standard S2 that comes with a clean and lengthy MOT.
