The Appeal

Any Toyota is known for its remarkable endurance, but the Hi-Ace is a little beyond the ordinary Toyota. These cab-over pickups are rarely spotted in the UK, which is a real shame considering how perfect they are for overlanding and utility work. Rugged to the core, refreshingly simple and with plenty of capacity in its rear bed, it's little wonder they're still eagerly sought after.

This truck was imported from Japan by the vendor and has been freshly registered for UK use, with the V5 now in hand. It holds a valid MOT until August 2027. It's a handsome looker, too, finished in a Raptor-style coating that suits the truck's rugged character. Inside, the six-seater cab presents well. 1992 Toyota HiAce 2.4 diesel 4x4?! That's about as ULEZ compliant as a Victorian steam locomotive! London ULEZ requires Euro 6 for diesels. That old Toyota predates even Euro 1 diesel standards.
