The Appeal

When the E46 M3 was new, you could have spent much, much more money on a hand-built supercar and still not have improved on its near-perfect levels of performance, handling and engagement. This car really is the high water mark of BMW’s ‘ultimate driving machine’ ethos.

Wanting one is not the dilemma; finding a good one is. The M3 is so usable that cars like this low-mileage, low-keeper and factory-standard convertible are beginning to feel like unicorns. Finished in well-kept black with a nicely contrasting Imola Red cabin, it is a really tidy car that wears its 22 years very lightly. It is a manual gearbox car with original features like the touch screen factory navigation system, matching hard top and a well-kept tool kit.

The vendor acquired the car in 2009 and tells us that he has always garaged it and used it only in the dry. He tells us that the previous keeper did the same. The MOT history supports the low mileage, with the current test running to January 2027 with no advisories. The history file shows regular attention by main dealers and specialists. The car will be sold with a fresh Inspection II service. A very well presented example of these superlative cars.
