The Appeal

Rejuvenating one of the most luxurious car brands of the interwar years and selling it at half a million pounds was a bold move, but a considered one. The Maybach 57 and the LWB 62 set the benchmark for Noughties luxury motoring: hand-crafted, technology-heavy limousines for those with the deepest pockets.

The financial crash helped stymie sales, meaning fewer than 1,500 LWB 62s like this Caspian Black example were sold. These 20ft cars featured comforts like an electro-transparent panoramic roof, dashboard dials in the roof and First Class-style reclining rear seats.

This car's paintwork is accented with silver metallic side trim, while the cabin is generously trimmed in leather and walnut.
