The Appeal

Porsche had been working on the idea of a four-door car since the 356-based Type 530 of the 1950s, but it took until 2009 for the Panamera to finally arrive. It channelled the 911's profile, performance and agility into a car fit for families, friends and colleagues.

Of the many versions available, the 3L V6 twin-turbo petrol Panamera S is the real-world choice. Its 420bhp delivers supercar-like performance, but with decent economy and real-world ride comfort.
