Porsche made significant updates to the mk2 GT3 for the 2004 model year. Horsepower was raised to 381bhp & torque was increased to 284 Ib/ ft 80% of which is available from 2000 rpm. The braking set up was upgraded, Now featuring 6 piston calipers on the front. Only 1890 of these were built & with 964 RS's now reaching £90K+ (pistonheads) & only going 1 way it make sense that the faster & better handling GT3 follows suit. So enjoy your car in the knowledge of zero depreciation.
I have owned this car from Aug 05 buying it with only 1500 miles. It was stolen/ recovered/ repaired . I am a Fellow of the institute of the motor industry (F. I. M. I) & a Porsche factory trained technician. I inspected the car for 4 hours before purchase. The glass has been replaced & minor panel damage consisting of a new rear quarter panel to the o/ s, the car has also had a complete repaint all work carried out by Porsche approved bodyshop Lloyds. The car was less than & year old with less than 900 miles when the keys were stolen from the owners home during a break in. The owner did not want the car repaired after a lengthy battle with his insurance company (5 months) & the threat of legal action they caved in & paid out making the car a CatD. If this does not put you off (only the owner would know) you could make a sensible saving of around £10000 on an equivalent gt3. I sold the car to its 3rd owner (Feb 08) a friend in his mid 60s who now finds the car a little harsh & far quicker than he can cope with so he has asked me to find a new owner. Never raced or tracked fantastic investment
