The Land Rover Discovery II, built between 1998 and 2004, featured some 720 changes from the original 1st generation Discovery. Most were fitted the 2. 5 litre TD5 diesel engine, however, a 4. 0 litre V8 petrol engine from the P38 Range Rover was also an option.
