This Datsun 260z 2+2 is a great example of a 260z in its standard form.
In 2009 this Z underwent a restoration. The car was completely stripped down and all works were completed. All metal work was completed due to rust on the car. There are previous photos of the car before the restoration within the history folder of the vehicle. The colour was then changed to the dark blue you see before you. The Z has been well looked after throughout its life after its resto, getting frequent MOT’s so the car is always at its best.
The carbs had recently been overhauled at the start of this year.
We have had the 260z here with us to complete some work before the sale. These works are carb balancing, starting issue which lead to being the mechanical full pump not working this has since been changed. The fuel tank has been drained and filled with new fuel. New rubber feed and return hoses have been fitted.
Four new tyres have been fitted and balanced. A new pair of headlamps have been fitted. New gearstick bushes have been fitted.
The gearbox was removed here at Fourways. The gearbox was then stripped down and has since been rebuilt with all new components and original Datsun parts. All gearbox components were stripped down and checked for tolerances.
