Beautifully restored in Masons black paint to the exterior & St James Red Leather to the interior. This R Type will be arriving with us in the next two weeks. Coachwork is by James Young & takes the form of an elegant 2 door coupé with a large sunroof. There is a letter in the history file from the Sir Henry Royce Memorial Foundation containing information on this design, C17, and this indicates that this is one of only four 'R' types with this superbly stylish two door saloon body.
This is a very rare car & a great alternative for those who cannot quite stretch to a Continental Fastback. It is a pleasure to drive with a strong silent engine & lovely road manners. The car was originally supplied by Broughtons of Cheltenham & has been in a private collection in recent years where much money has been spent to bring it to the wonderful order we find it in today.
