There are many words to describe this 1985 Daimler Double Six 5. 3 HE – handsome, sophisticated, refined – none of which really do it justice.
Having had just one owner and covering a mere 43k miles, this Double Six is in stunning original condition and has had the very best of care from the same dealer from new. Reputably, aside from using the car in and around London, the original owner more frequently used the car to drive her family to the south of France, no less.
This car is remarkably original and the colour combination of Westminster blue over French blue leather interior is the perfect combination.
The rare Westminster Blue paint is excellent and the totally original bodywork is remarkably straight. Underneath the car is much of the same story, and the original and evocative Kent alloy wheels are still sharp.
Inside, the French Blue leather interior is stunning with the seats and wood trim still in excellent original condition. A brand new headliner has just been fitted to perfectly frame the fully functional sun roof.
Mechanically, this car has just undergone a costly major refresh including new head gaskets, new fuel tanks and fuel system, new ignition system, new radiator and hoses, and the entire electrical system was overhauled by a specialist to give absolute peace of mind.
The result is a Daimler Double Six that drives superbly well with a 5. 3 V12 that munches up the miles, a gearbox that changes smoothly and perfectly, and brakes and suspension that keep everything in check.
