A rare 300 Turbo Diesel G-Wagen LWB in left-hand drive that has had just 2 UK owners from new.
This era of G-Wagen is particularly rare in the UK as they were not available in right-hand drive and not officially imported. These turbo diesel models are desirable as they have the legendary OM606 straight-six engine, renowned for its longevity. Coupled with the 5-speed automatic gearbox they offered performance and refinement light years ahead of previous diesel Gs.
This example was purchased new at Mercedes Munich by the president of the G-Wagen Owners’ Association, complete with MPH speedometer and registered in the UK straight away. In 2004 it was traded back to MB Munich where it was immediately purchased by another British gentleman, who brought it back to the UK again! It has remained in his collection since.
Finished in Brilliant silver with black leather, it is specified with MPH speedo, electric sunroof, heated seats, cruise control, walnut wood trim, 3x diff locks, alloy wheels and occasional seats in the boot.
The mileage is 171, 453 backed up by a fantastic service history, with three folders of history and two service books. This contains service and repair bills, all parts invoices and all German documentation, plus previous MoTs and correspondence with MB. 2 keys.
