Originally dispatched from Abingdon on the 18th August 1959, This 2-seater Austin Healey 3000 Mk I chassis no. H-BN7L/ 3072 was exported to New York City. The car was repatriated to the UK in 2018 and UK registered with an age-related number.
Originally a Colorado red car with red interior and black hood, the car has recently had 10k spent on the mechanicals with a rebuilt gearbox, aluminium radiator, hi-flow inlet fitted with brand new larger HD8 carburettors. Aluminium sump, Stainless tubular exhaust manifold with stainless side exit silencer. Engine performance is excellent and pulls superbly. Cold starting is good along with running temperatures. Complete with mohair hood and tonneau cover. This car remains LHD and is UK registered.
This rare and now sort after model is all matching numbers and retaining its original chassis, body and engine plates. This is not a show stopping car and is being sold as a working project. The car is highly usable and can be used & restored over a period of time.
