The Appeal

The 1954 Triumph T6 Thunderbird is one of the most celebrated British motorcycles of its era, and this example features the coveted sprung rear hub. With its 650cc parallel-twin and that unmistakable exhaust note, the spring hub Thunderbird occupies a special place in the hearts of classic British motorcycle enthusiasts.

This particular machine has been in the same family for over 30 years, having passed from father to son before being recently bought back by the seller. In 2022, it underwent an overhaul by a specialist in English motorcycles, with photographic documentation of the work said to be available. The vendor describes the chrome and paintwork as being in very good condition with only minor signs of use, and states that everything functions as it should. It is currently fitted with a solo saddle, though a buddy seat is also included.
