The Ford Mustang is an iconic American automobile manufactured by Ford. In continuous production since 1964, the Mustang is currently the longest-produced Ford car nameplate. It is the fifth-best selling Ford car nameplate.

The namesake of the "pony car" automobile segment, the Mustang was developed as a highly styled line of sporty coupes and convertibles derived from existing model lines, initially distinguished by "long hood, short deck" proportions.

The car was imported new to the U.K. from the U.S.A. in 1972 . It is a RHD converted vehicle, which was professionally undertaken when the car originally arrived here in the U.K.

It has been here ever since and has been looked after by a number of UK based American classic specialists.

The vehicle comes with a log book, a number of old receipts and many previous MOTs. There is also a receipt for the new engine present and also documentation from the company that installed it.

The red artificial leather interior is a custom design and is in excellent condition. It is fitted with custom digital gauges and a modern Pioneer Multimedia system. The model name is SPH-EVO82DAB and it comes with apple carplay and is connected to a trunk located amplifier and subwoofer, supplied and fitted by Auto Audio in Park Royal. 

It has power electric windows and power roof.  The car is also fitted with a 1972 Ford Mustang Air Conditioning System supplied by Classic Auto Air, an American company that specialise in Air-condition units for classic cars.

At time of the restoration 10 years ago the car received a full rewire including a modern fuse panel set up.

The car had a full bare metal re-spray around 10 years ago and the paintwork is still in fine condition due to it being stored in dry underground parking at all times.

It is currently fitted with new wheels and tyres manufactured by Foose design, a well known custom car builder in USA. The convertible roof is in great condition and the cars chrome accents are also clean.

The car had a full service, Air filter and oil change at the Classic Car Club in London back in October 2020, prior to that it was regularly serviced and upgraded by Phil King at Classic American Restoration Services , based at Forest Oaks, Aimes Green, Gally Hill Waltham Abbey.

The exhaust system is a custom-made stainless steel unit. the front head lights was replaced to Led, and a honeycomb Mach 1 panel and Sequential indicators Led light Kit was fitted at the rear . The engine is a new unit supplied by the engine factory based in the U.S.A. in 2007.

The engine has been upgraded with a fuel injection system and electronic ignition. and ceramic coated headers. It has also recently been fitted with a new upgraded radiator with an auto electric fan with relay.

The transmission has been upgraded from the original 3 speed automatic transmission, to a 4-speed overdrive unit The car is equipped with a new power rack and pinion steering system designed specifically for classic Ford Mustangs by Flaming River U.S.A. She starts, runs and drives well giving that American muscle feel and sound.

The Ford Mustang has long been considered an absolute Icon of the American Muscle car scene, both in the US and further afield. Its simple elegant design is well known to car lovers and even those that don’t have petrol in their veins.

This particular model is a 70s Mustang, in this period the cars became a little larger and took on a slightly different look. This particular example has then been modified and customised and what's left Is a really unique piece of Americana. From custom red synthetic leather, to modern stereo system, to custom designed wheels from one of the great custom hot rod design houses right down to a new crate engine and full respray. 

The car has it all and buckets of character to boot. I addition it has been set up for the UK from almost day one with the RHD conversion being conducted almost from new.
