The Appeal
Introduced alongside Mercedes-Benz’ legendary R107 Roadster, the C107 - or SLC - followed much the same winning formula, with the addition of a hard-top roof and optional sunroof. The consistent aesthetics between the two have made them one of the most iconic classics in the world, instantly recognisable amongst enthusiasts, and pretty easily spotted by the layman, too.
This example has had what appears to be a blissful life, having been fully restored in 2017 to an extremely high standard and doing minimal mileage since. Finished in bright white, with an attractive blue velour and cord interior, this is a spectacular example of an essential coupe.

The Interior
- Original blue part-cord fabric interior
- Nicely appointed with blue textured dashboard and raised binnacle
- All original instruments are clear and working as expected
- Centre console is in superb order
- Carpets are in good condition with age-commensurate wear
- Door cards show some light wear but are in very presentable order
- We did discern a rip and some loose material on the bottom of the driver’s side door
- Seats are clean with no major rips or tears we can discern, in period-accurate part-cord
- Round the back, the boot is in very good condition and conceals a professionally restored spare wheel
The Exterior
- The essential lines of the R107 in a hard-top coupe
- Repainted to a very high standard in white
- Paintwork in excellent order, in line with the car’s low mileage post-restoration
- Car is sitting on professionally refurbished alloy wheels
- Wearing a full set of excellent tyres with plenty of tread
- Carrying new bumper rubbers, door seals and headlamp reflectors
- All chrome work presents beautifully with minimal wear and patina
- Underneath, the car looks to be in solid order with no major signs of corrosion
The Mechanics

- 4-speed automatic transmission
- Engine bay is in excellent condition with no major issues to highlight
- Car is in good working order with no reported faults
- Recently given a complete service with new oil, filters and plugs
- Over £2,000 spent on the vehicle, including:
- New manifold seals
- All brake pipes replaced
- New door, lid and roof seals
- New headlamp reflectors
- New bumper rubbers
- New front and rear valences
