The Appeal
The MGB is a welcome, perennial presence wherever one or two classics gather. Excellent club support, simple, robust mechanicals, an army of specialists and easily available parts make them perfect starter classics.
This 1972 BGT would be a great place to start a classic motoring journey. It benefits from recent work to the clutch system, overdrive unit and fuel system plus a service with only a few miles since. It is nicely specified too, featuring silver painted wires, auxiliary driving lamps, a recent large new Webasto-style sunroof and upgraded interior with leather and wood. It also has desirable overdrive to make light work of long distance cruising.
There is scope to improve the cosmetics so it would work well as a car to practice and develop your skills on.
The vendor says:
“Really fun to drive, and a cheap way to get into the classic car world as I did.”
