The Appeal

It's arguable that the 914 is one of the most interesting cars to ever carry the Porsche and Volkswagen names. Developed in collaboration between the two German marques, this low-slung, angular sports car was a quirky mid-engined machine, with balanced performance and a distinctive targa-top. It was a huge success too - quickly overshadowing the venerable 911 and becoming one of the most recognisable sports machines of its era.
This example is equipped with the 1,800cc engine paired with a five-speed manual gearbox. Imported from the USA and now fully registered on UK plates, it has been stored inside a commercial unit, with over £3,000 spent in recent years to complete an impressive level of recommissioning.
