The Appeal
This rather interesting classic Mini began life as a plush Mayfair, but we’re a long way from that now. Extensively overhauled in the Cooper Sportspack style, it features light mechanical tweaks, Minilight alloys, appropriate Union Jack decals, and, perhaps remarkably, a full leather R53 interior.
The vendor acquired the car in early 2022, shortly after it received its last MOT test, which contained no advisories. Since then it has been little used but dry stored. It presents well in photos, where buyers can check the array of additions and upgrades applied across the interior and exterior of the car. It appears to retain its 1L A Series engine, allied to a 4spd auto box.
The current MOT has expired so the buyer may wish to factory in some checks before hitting the road, and it will need trailered away. But from 1st April 2027 it is eligible for Historic Vehicle status, making it MOT and tax exempt.
This nicely modified Mini wouldn’t look out of place at one of the regular Mini meets. Here’s your chance to give it a new lease of life.
