The Appeal
Traditionally, Citroen has determinedly not done conventional. The chiselled XM, designed by Bertone, proves the point. Instead of competing directly with BMW and Audi, Citroen created a distinctive executive saloon that was as comfortable as an armchair, no matter the road surface.
Thanks to low sales, survivors are very rare, particularly ones as good as this 1992 example. Looking very smart in metallic green with well-kept factory alloys, it is fitted with the economical 2.1L XUD 110bhp turbodiesel engine and features the optional VIP Wood & Leather Pack with automatic climate control.
In its 33 years the car has covered less than 53,000 kms in the hands of just two previous keepers. The vendor tells us that he has only used it in dry weather. We are told that the timing belt was replaced in 2021 and the suspension was checked by the previous keeper.
The car comes with the useful bonus of ASI and Historic Vehicle certification and the Revisione runs to October 2026.
