The History and Paperwork

A nice quantity of documentation comes with this vehicle, including lots of tax discs, lots of MOT certificates, and a full collection of drivers handbooks and manuals with the leather folder.
The Interior
The interior of this lovely motor is adorned in black leather, with a dark wood veneer trim and just a dash of well-placed chrome making for an extremely classy feel.
Due to the low mileage this is a very nice example with very little wear compared to models of this age.
The carpets and floor mats are in superb condition, and the headlining is clean and free from sagging areas.
The Instrument’s glass are all clear and free of any blemishes, and the trim and switches are all in good shape with none of the switches showing any meaningful wear.
Very nice original sound system with a lot of speakers and the nice inclusion of the original cassette radio with CD changer for that authentic 90’s driving experience.
Very well appointed with technology for a car of this era, including cruise control and steering wheel mounted controls for the radio, telephone and cruise control.
Excellent leather embossed XJR steering wheel reminds you that despite its size, a lot of performance lies beneath your right foot!
Valet and Traction control off buttons reside in the centre console.
Overall a very nice interior that has been well preserved.
The Exterior
The exterior of this vehicle is overall solid, however corrosion is starting to appear in a number of places and particularly around the edges of panels.
Paint repairs have been carried out in several locations and the bonnet has had a respray.
The wheels are in superb condition with no kerbing or bad marks, shod with high quality dunlop winter tyres all round with lots of tread left.
The lights and window glass are all clean and clear and free of cracks and chips.
Overall the exterior is solid, but will require some corrosion repairs and treatment, and a respray would really take this car to the next level and make it a truly exceptional example of the marque.
The Mechanics
The car is in wonderful condition mechanically having covered so few miles.
Under the bonnet the engine bay is nice and clean, and it is evident this car has been looked after and has covered little distance over the course of its life.
There is some flaking paint on the right hand supercharger manifold.
The vehicle has evidently been well serviced as such runs very nicely and drives, turns and stops as it should.
Wonderful supercharged V8 sound.
Moving on to the underside, again it is showing evidence of some corrosion but has been undersealed and is solid but could do with a little TLC.
Overall a very solid car mechanically, that runs excellently and requires next to nothing doing.
Summary
Overall this wonderful motor is the perfect, solid candidate for a light restoration, a little body work and some fresh paint and this would be a truly stunning vehicle.
The interior is extremely nice and mechanically it is very sound, very low miles, and all the comfort of a full size luxury saloon coupled with Jaguar’s excellent chassis setup and all the performance and sound of a supercharged V8.
