The Appeal

The History and Paperwork

• There isn’t a wealth of paperwork with this Daimler, but it does appear to have been looked after
• You will find the V5 within the paperwork, but this is about the bulk of the paperwork 
• Looking at the MOT history there is a gap between 2013-2021 where it may be off the road 
• It currently doesn’t show to have a valid MOT, but it said through the previous one with no advisories 
• Now it’s your chance to get behind the wheel of this luxurious saloon 

The Interior

• Stepping into this interior is like walking into a well-furnished gentleman’s lounge
• Trimmed top to bottom with high-end materials it is a wonderful place to sit back and relax
• All of the seats are finished in this light, almost cream, leather 
• The driver’s seat would usually show some signs of wear but in this Daimler, it appears to be void of damage 
• Unsurprisingly the front passenger seat is also in great condition 
• In the rear is one large, and even heated, bench seat
• The condition of the leather is great and will be very comfortable for your passengers 
• You will also see that all of the headrests are monogrammed with the Daimler ‘D’ 
• Running throughout the car are some nice contrasting brown carpets with thick over mats 
• There is a lot of wood veneer trim running through the car 
• In some places, it is in lovely condition, but in other areas, it looks a little milky/cloudy 
• As the car is approaching 25 years old some areas of the interior aren’t like new
• One such area is the headliner, there is some slight sag in the rear 
• Up in the cabin, there are a lot of buttons and features to play with 
• On the steering wheel, you’ll find the cruise control, telephone controls, and media controls
• Speaking of phones, the original, Jaguar branded, Motorola car phone is still in the armrest
• Set within the centre console there are a lot of buttons to press and play with
• At the rear, you’ll find a large boot space, large enough for all your activities
• Overall, the interior of this Daimler is in lovely condition and ready for its next adventure

The Exterior 

• Externally this car is presented rather well 
• Thanks to its simple Jaguar/Daimler styling this car flies under the radar
• Its gloss black paintwork still retains a mirror-like reflection in the sun 
• There are some marks in the paint, but they do not detract from the overlook look of the car 
• You may also observe some marks in the silver trim around the windows
• The four alloys fitted are all in lovely condition as well
• All of the exterior trim Is present and correct
• Cars of this age sometimes present with corrosion around the sunroof, this car is void of any nasty bubbling around this area
• It does appear that this car has been looked after well during its years 
• Now it is your chance to benefit from this care with a well-presented Daimler saloon

The Mechanics 

• Under the bonnet of this 00’s luxury saloon, you’ll find Jaguar running gear
• Fitted with the lovely 4.0l V8 it has oodles of power on tap 
• Turning the key fires this beast into life, producing a faint burble it is very civilised indeed
• Slipping it into drive and you can pull away effortlessly
• Although not trailed at speed, on the day of the photos, it maneuvered around the yard with ease 
• Without a large dossier of paperwork, it is difficult to say what has or hasn’t been done with this car
• With this being said however, it does appear to have been mechanically looked after
