THE APPEAL
In 1999 Subaru and Porsche Design collaborated to build a limited edition Legacy B4 ‘Blitzen’ destined for the Japanese market. Initially based on the revised B4 Saloon, Porsche contributed to the styling and suspension modifications and just 2,055 examples were produced.
Rarely seen, the Touring Wagon is a comfortable and relaxed load-carrying “wolf in sheep’s clothing” - it’s subtle styling is a hint to what lurks beneath the bonnet. Subaru’s EJ20, near instantaneous 280bhp pulling power and all-wheel drive is no slouch and offers unbeatable roadholding.
This particular all-wheel-drive wagon looks resplendent in it’s shiny red paintwork and sports the exclusive Porsche Design bodykit and wheels. one of only 1,325 automatic versions, it is equipped with all the goodies and quality engineering you would expect.
The subject of continuous improvement, the owner has fastidiously looked after this practical performance machine with improvements to the paintwork, wheels and trim, along with regular servicing. It has also had a recent full valet, so is ready go.

Imported in May 2015 by Newcar UK (Legend Automotive Ltd), Hook, Hampshire, this Japanese Domestic Market Subaru was enjoyed by the owner of the business until the current owner acquired it in February 2016. The car has covered around 33,000 miles in the U.K.

We can report that during the photoshoot this engine started and idled smoothly with no visible engine smoke. The owner assures us that the performance is effortless and when you put your foot down, both turbo’s kick-in progressively with minimal lag particularly at overtaking speeds.

The owner of this rare Subaru Legacy Blitzen is clearly an enthusiast and has enjoyed driving it and maintaining it for the last seven years.
In great condition all round, this Porsche influenced limited edition sports wagon is also testimony to Japanese reliability and longevity, and should remain highly desirable for years to come.
