The Appeal

The original SLK was Mercedes’ answer to the roadster revival that was kicked off by the MX-5. Buyers got a sort of re-sized SL, including a clever folding hard top that would revolutionise the sector and lead to many copycats. Where rivals focussed on sporting, Mercedes also built comfort and cruisability to the R170’s appeal.

The current keeper acquired the car in 2020 and tells us that it has always been garaged when not in use.
