The Appeal

Where the AMG versions of Mercedes’ clever R230 coupe/convertible erred towards sporting, the V12 500bhp SL600 was more about similar performance but delivered in a more comfortable way. These extremely expensive cars are now very rare, particularly with the specification and low mileage of this example.

The vendor tells us that the car has covered just over 50,000 miles from new and that the service records show 31 entries. It is also said to have a clean CARFAX report. The condition is impressive in the photos and the specification very high. The car features optional polished five spoke alloys and the desirable ‘panoramic’ glass version of the clever folding hard top.
