Porsche brought out its mid size luxury crossover to the public back in 2002, the model was an instant success worldwide as it wore the German branded badge and was an alternative to customers who wanted a more practical yet sports orientated family vehicle. 

The GTS model brought high levels of equipment and refinement to the model, and was the first time since 1995 that Porsche had equipped a car with a V8 engine. Fitted as standard with the aerodynamic body kit, with 405 bhp it could sprint from 0-62mph in 5.7 seconds. 

The interior was fitted with a mixture of leather and alcantara upholstery, specification wise the car had full electrics, navigation, front and rear sensors and a host of other options were also available to put it on a par with the equivalent Range Rover Sport which was its main competitor.

This particular car has a wealth of Porsche and specialist service history, with the condition of the vehicle throughout highlighting the cars care over the last fourteen years.

The current owner has spent just under £800 in the last year having the oil sensors and filters replaced.

The car has its original Porsche leather handbook with all original manuals, two sets of keys and a stamped service book showing a mixture of Porsche and Independent stamps. The most recent service was done by Auto Deutsche in London in March 2021.

The car comes with a recent MOT which expires in January 2023, there are also previous MOTS provided along with invoices for other parts and work that has been carried out in between the regular services.

The high quality of the Porsche materials has held up well inside the cabin, the mix of black leather and grey alcantara seats are in very good condition. There are some creasing on the driver's seat and passenger's squab, but just wear and does not require any attention at all. 

The alcantara headlining is like new and compliments the cabin nicely adding to the sportier vibe that the GTS offers the Cayenne. All door cards are in very good order with the alcantara inserts unmarked, a sign that the car has been well looked after. 

All switch gears are again in excellent condition and the hi-fi and all electronics are working perfectly, the car has the Porsche satellite navigation system, Bose 14 speaker sound system that boasts a 410 watts amp which might just be enough to drown out that sonorous V8! 

The front seats both have memory settings and move smoothly and give a commanding position over the clean and slick Porsche dashboard and instrument panels.

There is a small mark on the back of the driver's seat, this is negligible and is only visible upon close inspection. The chrome boot tread strip as you would expect with its age is marked as are the driver and passenger sill strips.

The car comes complete with original tool kit, first aid kit and also the Porsche boot liner. Matching roof bars are also included, and are colour coded.

The black metallic paintwork still looks fresh and with the exception of some very minor stone chips has stood the test of time well. The paintwork would benefit from a machine polish if you really wanted to make this car look like new, glasswork is clear of any marks or chips.

All four alloys are in very good condition, and wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tyres with decent bread on them still. The NSR alloy has some kerning around the rim, shown on the photos and the OSF alloy has a small chip on it.

All Porsche centre caps are faded and if replaced would just add to the overall clean look of the car.

The car has had a full service history with Porsche dealers up until 2017 and the with German specialist agents, the last service in March 2021 was with Auto Deutsche Services in London at 117,358 miles.

Since then the car has only covered 2500 miles, it does come with a fresh MOT until January 2023. The seller reports no issues with the car and with its history and condition you can expect this German engineering to go on for many years.

Porsche surprised its customers when they announced the Cayenne was going to be introduced among its traditional sports car set up, to soften the blow they added this amazing V8 engine, linked to the tiptronic gearbox it gave the owner a sports feel but with practicality and comfort for any journey.

The GTS model with the 4.8 engine are becoming rare cars, certainly in this condition and specification. If you are after an all rounder with Porsche sports pedigree you won’t find a finer version then this particular Cayenne.
