Kept under cover throughout its life by both registered keepers
In current ownership for approximately 10 years
The Appeal
Every generation of the Transporter is prized for conversion work, celebrated for its straightforward mechanical robustness and the sheer versatility of its spacious interior. They make perfect campers, too, and the more ample proportions of later generations, such as the Type 5 Transporter, have proven particularly versatile.
This 2009 T5 Transporter has had just two registered keepers from new, both of whom kept it under cover. The first owner used it primarily as a workshop and covered only 25,000 miles in seven years. The current owner has continued that careful stewardship over the past decade, adding relatively few miles. A conversion carried out in partnership with VWorks in 2016, and focused on a distinctive retro style throughout, inspired by classic T2 conversions. The result really is rather special.
The vendor states the conversion is in very good condition, having seen very little use. Mechanically, two new batteries have been fitted, and the vendor reports it starts on the button and is a pleasure to drive, singling out the gearbox and engine for particular praise. 1 statics 02 Matt.jpg1.66 MB
