Known for its hearty V-twin supersport motorbikes, few names carry the cachet of Ducati. For most collectors and enthusiasts, there’ll always be a corner of the garage reserved for a big “Duke”.
Offering a slightly retro feel and heaps of low-down torque, the 900SS is the kind of bike that you really have to ride. It makes few concessions for inexperienced riders, but offers the kind of ability and character that will have you attacking your favourite stretch of winding B-road again and again.

Attractive grey paintwork shows well, with some minor marks and blemishes, but no significant damage
There are a couple of small chips in the paint visible when you lift the saddle – at the points where the saddle and tank meet
The faring appears to all be in good condition, with no cracks or damage we could see, just a couple of very minor scuffs
Pegs, foot controls and handlebars all show well, with no visible damage or scrape marks
The only non-standard parts are the aftermarket adjustable handlebar levers
Looking at the frame, what we could see looks to be in fine fettle, with no stress marks or cracks apparent
There is a small amount of corrosion reported by the vendor to the crankcase
Under the saddle, the handbook and small toolkit are present and correct
Late model 900SS with the 1000SS specification aluminium swing arm as standard
Red finished, 17-inch Marchesini wheels front and rear, which look to be in fine condition and wear a matched set of Dunlop tyres that appear to have good tread levels
A very rare machine – fewer than 200 were ever made in this specification – this 900SS ‘Senna Tribute’ would make an excellent addition to any enthusiast’s garage. With these handsome retro superbikes becoming difficult to find in such good condition, this is one not to miss. Vehicle will be sold with MOT until May 2024.
