Total full restoration to original factory condition.. For sale, the rarest of the triples, The 1972 Kawasaki pearl ivory S1.. Its not the biggest, its not the fastest but it is one of the most beautiful looking bikes ever, Kawasaki put their heart into making this bike really stand out from the crowd, it was designed and built to impress its so good to look at and ride, real quality. This bike is a genuine UK bike and was fully restored by the very fussy perfectionist no expense spared everything must be right Richard Young, one of the countries finest triple restorers. This machine is in spotless clean condition and as an original restoration as you will find. Everything about this bike is just as it should be. Its that good it was a finalist in the Classic Bike Machine Of The Year a few years back and featured in an article in Classic bike. With only about 300 of these machines being imported 44 years ago and only available for one year before various changes were made makes these bikes highly sort after. So many must have been thrashed and crashed.. This bike was first registered on the 10/ 07/ 72.. I bet there are not many left in any condition let alone as near perfect as this one. Bike starts, ticks over, runs and rides lovely with only 2790 miles since a total restoration and engine rebuild. Everything works and looks and shines as it should. Many new old stock parts have been used in the restoration so they retain their original factory finish. Nothing is over polished and where it should be zinc its zinc rather than everything bright polished chrome which would not be original to this model. MOT till May next year so you can ride away as if it was 1972 straight out of the showroom.
Bike is supplied with the original keys / Kawasaki S1 250 toolkit / and owners handbook under the seat.
This particular model S1 just doesn’t come up for sale they are so rare those that have them keep them so don’t miss the chance to own such a rare and wonderful bike with a good documented history and only 5 previous owners. This bike retains the original S1 engine from new, no later KH engine has been fitted, I have copies of all the other owners log books which show the same engine to this day. The 72 S1 was the first ever 250cc two stroke triple and has become a collectors investment piece, its also a very usable motorcycle which is great fun to ride.
