1971 Austin Mini MK 3 Cooper S 1275 cc in factory Bronze Yellow. This is a very original Cooper S with many original features. It is still on its hydro elastic suspension, original body, engine, wheels and brakes etc. The interior is also very nice with high back reclining seats, period steering wheel, seat belts and it even has an operational 8 track cassette player with supplied tapes! The car has an incredible history file which would take hours to read through. There is history from 1989 onwards including all bills, receipts and mots. There is also the original hand book, sales brochure and a Mini Magazine with a 6 page write up. For the last 8 years it has been owned by John Lennon who clearly is not the singer, but he was related to him! He bought the car in 2013 and asked Andy Harrison from Acespeed to inspect the car and buy it for him. Andy has looked after the car for the last 8 years completing any work necessary to keep in great running under. The mileage is 58350 which is thought to be correct but the early mot history is missing. This is a very nice genuine example which drives very well. It does pull very well and I believe it is faster than other Cooper S minis that I have sold. It rare to find example as nice as this with such a long and detailed history.
