Morris Oxford MO – Stunning Car
Designed by Alex Issigonis and introduced to the market in 1948 the ‘MO’ is the big brother of the Morris Minor. Offering unit construction, torsion bar suspension, side-valve engine, four-speed column gear change and genuine four seat leather interior survivors today are extremely rare and highly sought after.
Milestones originally sold this lovely example to a discerning local collector in 2015. Finished in stunning black with red coach-line, excellent chrome and lovely original red leather interior the car has only been sold to make space for a new Milestone purchase.
During his ownership the car has been fastidiously maintained. Mechanical work has included a top-end engine rebuild, regular servicing and the engine bay has been detailed to an extremely high standard. The car drives as good as she looks with easy column gear change, light steering & clutch and supplementary flashing indicators fitted in addition to the original semaphore arms. The history folder contains a summary of all previous owners, a variety of invoices and MOT’s since 1981 that verify that the car has covered just 20, 000 miles in the last 40 years.
