1985 Reliant Rialto 2 estate
I originally purchased this Rialto in 2001 to take part in the Reliant Owners Club tour of Ireland after this I regularly used it until 2004 when I dry stored it as I was busy with work.
It was stored until 2015 when I had a Reliant specialist recommission the car back on the road which cost over £900, it had all new brakes, coolant hoses, fuel pipes, spark plugs, points/ condenser, all 4 tyres replaced, battery and various other items replaced. In 2016 I also had a new water pump fitted.
In 2017 ready for show season I had all of the rear suspension replaced with new upgraded items, brand new custom made double rear leaf springs and gas charged rear shock absorbers. Ive also had a new heater valve and heater motor fitted.
In 2018 I had the clutch replaced, a chrome filler strip round the windscreen, NOS radiator and a brand new stainless steel exhaust.
Recently Ive had fitted a custom carpet set which was made by a specialist company, these are deep piled and far better quality than the original carpets fitted by Reliant at the factory, at the same time I had inertia reel seat belts fitted too instead of static belts.
Between 2015 and 2018 the car has won 2 second place prizes and won 5 first place prizes at Reliant Owners Club events including "Best Rialto" at the Reliant Owners Club national rally. It also was a finalist in the gemini classic motor show in 2017 at wentworth woodhouse near rotherham, my Rialto came 1st against a 1980s Ford Escort and a Rolls Royce.
You will struggle to find another rialto in such original condition even down to the Reliant front sheepskin seat covers which i'll include with the car, as you see from the photos the car is in immaculate condition inside and out, if the car has ever needed any work ive provided it and have bills for the work its had over the years.
Mot until June 24th 2019 and the Mileage is just under 69 thousand - will be sold with 12 months mot
