A classic wooden chassis wonder, hand crafted at the Marcos Greenland Mills factory in the historic market town of Bradford on Avon
This historic Marcos oozes the 1960s in its deep dark Blue paintwork which although not concours shows period wear and tear which adds to its authenticity. The interior is upholstered in black leather cloth and black carpets that are in very good condition. The stylish wood veneered dashboard furnished with sporting chrome rimmed instruments finishes the snug cockpit. For power the Ford 1600 cross flow engine that has recently undergone a complete rebuild by Formula 1 engine specialist Paul Finch Motorsport to a very high standard. Fitted with a high performance balanced tubular manifold along with twin Dellorto DHLA40 twin choke carbs sporting ITG filters, Electric fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator completes the ultra-reliable engine package. Also recently overhauled by JP Race based at Silverstone is the Ford 4 speed gearbox. The wooden chassis has been refurbished by Marcos Heritage Spares Ltd. Original very much sort after Marcos cast alloy wheels. New Protech shock absorbers all round. Starts, drives and performs beautifully. A classis Marcos through and through. A wonderful road car that could be turned into a fabulous historic racing car should you wish to relive those halcyon times of days gone by.
