1961 Triumph Herald MK I 1200 Convertible. Signal Red with black upholstery, black hood and half and full tonneau covers. This amazing Herald is totally original and unrestored and covered just 46, 000 miles from new and has been with its last keeper for 11 years. Supplied new by Carrs Auto Sales Ltd of Croydon in September 1961. The original paintwork is still very presentable although does show a couple of marks collecting during 60 years of motoring, The car is very well known to The Triumph Sports Six Club and is one of only two original MK I Herald convertibles that they know of. There are plenty of restored examples available to buy but originality is everything and as the saying goes, They are only original once. The cars history file is one of the best we have seen and contains huge amounts of bills, invoices, mot certificates and newspaper and magazine extracts. The original dealer handbooks and all important service book are also present which is very rare as well. No expense has been spared to keep the car mechanically spot on and just last month over £400 spent keeping the car up to scratch. A very strong chassis with no sign of any corrosion and straight panels make this Triumph a true survivor car. Although now tax and mot exempt the car has an mot until August 2022 with no advisories.
