First registered on 14th January 1965, this Wolseley has survived in remarkable condition. It is not a show queen as it does have some superficial rust bubbles and bumpers would benefit from rechroming, but if you want an original untouched car that has never been welded, has all its original panels and paintwork then it’s worth viewing.
Finished in Yukon grey as mentioned above there are some small surface rust bubbles in a few places and a small area at corner of one rear door, however it shows how well cared for the car has been as all of these have been rust proofed. All the wheel arch lips that are sound have also had the same treatment. It’s very much a car that has nothing to hide and been well maintained.
The interior is a real time warp with red leather that has aged nicely, but no damage or splits to be seen. Wooodwork again is near perfect, headlining is lovely and all door panels are in the same order. There is some light wear on drivers carpet, but it has had over mats for years .
The underside of the car is very good, it’s not been freshly under sealed or anything, so has road dirt present. All the sills, front crossmember and chassis legs etc are all factory and untouched. A front anti roll bar has been fitted and various bushes on suspension look to of been replaced.
The mileage displayed is 27657 and whilst we do not have enough history to guarantee it, in our opinion is probably genuine. The Wolseley runs and drives superbly and shows no mechanical faults whatsoever
The engine bay is in very nice order, with no corrosion at all on the front inner wings, where they have normally been repaired.
It still bears its original Wadhams group number plates. The jack and tool bag etc is all present, together with spare wheel with new radial tyre.
To summarise, this Wolseley does have some marks etc around the bodywork, but it is one of the most original and untouched examples we have owned. It still presents very well as the pictures show. You could attend to the rust bubbles and paint it, but it would then be just another restored car, there are not many as sound as this car and with this mileage. We have priced it to a low the new owner to either improve the car or just enjoy it for what it is.
It will be sold with a new mot and ready to jump in and enjoy.
