For sale is this lovely road ready 1964 Velocette Venom Clubman. The bike was restored a number of years ago from a genuine Venom Clubman. The crankcases were replaced during the restoration as they were deemed unsuitable for use and unfortunately they were not kept with the bike. The crankcases fitted are from a Venom of 1956 manufacture. The numbers have been verified by the Velocette Owners Club.
Mechanically the Venom Clubman is in very good condition. Recent work includes fitting of new valves, a new Amal Monobloc carburettor and new electronic ignition. The piston is still on standard bore.
The Venom Clubman is a very good runner, starts first kick and pulls like a freight train. It is a powerful and fast engine, that will easily outrun much of modern traffic.
Cosmetically, it presents very lovely. The paint and gold lining on the petrol tank is near mint. Paint and chrome in very good condition throughout. There are a few scratch marks on the exhaust pipe underneath the kickstart but that is it. Akront alloy rims in beautiful condition.
