Austin Healey 100/ 4 BN1 ‘Le Mans’, year 1954. Chassis number BN1-L/ 2225XX, engine number 1B/ 2225XX, chassis and engine have ‘matching numbers’. Colour Carmine red with a red leather interior and red carpet. Red soft-top, aluminium ‘side-screens’ with red trim and a black vinyl pouch to store the screens. This beautiful Austin Healey was sold new in the USA. In the years 2014 – 2018 the car was extensively restored by Chris Jeans in Belgium. A Heritage certificate is present. This ‘big Healey’ is in a beautiful condition! The engine was overhauled and tuned by Denis Welch in the United-Kingdom. The car is fitted with the ‘M – Le Mans’ kit which incorporates an aluminium bonnet with air-vents (louvres), an aluminium cylinder head, a special camshaft, a cold-air box and bigger S. U. carburettors. Additionally, the car is fitted with disc brakes at the front wheels and a BN2 four-speed gearbox with overdrive.
