The Appeal

Produced for just shy of a decade, the Alfa Romeo Giulia GT1300 Junior is one of the most recognizable Italian cars to date. Over the years, the platform has become highly popular in motorsport and almost has a cult following across the globe.

This particular example, of course, stands head and shoulders above the standard specification of the vehicle, boasting a huge array of Alfaholics upgrades. This highly impressive Alfa now presents buyers with a rare opportunity to own an iconic race car, with an unrivalled specification for the price. A true bargain.

The History and Paperwork

  • Originally a rust-free LHD Italian shell
  • Professionally converted to RHD
  • Packed to the brim with Alfaholics upgrades
  • Maintained by renowned specialists
  • First registered in the UK in 2015
  • Just 1 prior UK keeper
  • Owner by the current keeper since 2018
  • V5C, registration documents, original Italian paperwork
  • Invoices for a great amount of Alfaholics parts and labour
  • Invoices for previous labour and parts
This fine Alfa Romeo 1300 was originally a left-hand-drive Italian shell and was later converted to RHD as it stands today. This particular shell was chosen as it was rust-free and presented the perfect platform to develop a brilliant track car upon.
Once brought to the UK, this Alfa underwent an enormous transformation with over £36K’s worth of Alfaholic parts and specialist labour. First UK owners were Sir Drummond Bond and John Bennet (President and Chairman of the Maserati Club UK) who made the little Alfa competitive for the prestigious Vernasca Silver Flag Hill Climb in Italy, where it competed four times prior to the current owners acquisition. The full Alfaholics specification list can be found in the attached paperwork imagery, with some elements noted in the “mechanics” section of this listing. This accumulation of Alfaholics parts alone ensures the lucky new owner is getting tremendous value for money. The work qualified this car for SMRC technical race certification.
After its Alfaholics transformation, the car was later purchased by the current keeper in 2018, where it has received the same high level of care and has been expertly maintained by the likes of renowned specialist Martin Cheetham. Throughout its time with the current owner, the car has performed fantastically and is now ready to find a new home, where it will hopefully see more use on the track.
Buyers will be pleased to know that the vehicle will come with a fantastic amount of paperwork, which even includes the original Italian paperwork. Also included are previous MOT certificates, the V5C document ready for the new owner, and invoices for previous labour & parts.

The Interior

  • Seam welded shell & fully welded in roll cage
  • 'Aircraft style' switchgear control box with billet aluminium switches
  • Sparco bucket seats with Schroth harnesses
  • Alfaholics quick-release Momo steering wheel
  • Flocked dashboard with SPA Design gauges
  • Dual circuit bias adjust with Alfaholics billet pedals
  • Fully plumbed fire extinguisher system
If you’re looking for comfy leather chairs, a sound system, and modern comforts for the daily commute, you’re definitely in the wrong place. This interior is strictly business and is fully prepared for racing. With that in mind, the current keeper has made the interior quite a pleasant environment, with the addition of a stylish quilted headliner and door bar padding both adding comforts for the possibility of road use.
Inside the car, you’ll also find 2 Recaro buckets paired with 6 point Schroth harnesses to keep you in place out on the track. Most notable of course is the fully welded in roll cage which not only offers crucial protection for passengers but also pairs with the seam-welded chassis to add a considerable amount of rigidity.
This is certainly a high-end racecar, and the interior clearly reflects the levels of care that the Alfa Romeo has received over the years. Rather surprisingly for a car of this nature, the interior is very clean and presents itself beautifully with no noticeable signs of wear or damage. Essentially, it has been expertly prepared with literally no expense - £75,000 is the latest estimate, yet the car has been sparingly used.
In the boot, you’ll find a matching spare wheel, along with a 55L foam-filled aluminium fuel tank, courtesy of Alfaholics of course.

The Exterior

  • Step front model
  • Fantastic retro racecar aesthetics
  • Eye-catching yellow paintwork
  • Brilliantly presented track car
  • Composite doors, bonnet & boot lid
  • Alfaholics GTA Veloce 7x15 wheels
  • Full Lexan rear screen with touring style side window sliders
  • Rolled arches to fit wider tyres
This wicked Alfa looks absolutely spectacular and is a truly eye-catching historic race car. Now, this car certainly isn’t a trailer queen or show car by any means, and has instead been built to the highest standard for the sole purpose of providing the greatest driving experience.
That being said, it is in absolutely superb condition for a track car and would quite easily put the majority of road-going cars to shame. The stunning yellow paintwork suits the car perfectly and shows only a few minor signs of wear. All four wheels are also in excellent condition, and wear a set of sticky Yokohama AD08 RS tyres with plenty of tread left for the new owner to enjoy.
Overall, the car appears to have been very well cared for, and could perhaps be one of the cleanest purpose-built racecars you’ll find on the market. Other than minor marks towards the lower side of the sills and a small amount of spidering in the paintwork, you’re getting an absolute stunner of a car that will no doubt continue to turn heads in the crowds.

The Mechanics

  • Drives brilliantly, and performs without fault
  • Expertly set up and ready to enjoy on the track
  • Over £36K spent with Alfaholics
  • Alfaholics big valve Monza Nord engine package
  • Weber 45 carburettor
  • Programmable 123 distributor
  • Race alternator & race starter motor
  • Dyno tested
  • Pipercross ram pipes
  • Stainless steel exhaust manifold and system by Alfaholics
  • Quick steering arms + adjustable shocks by Alfaholics
  • Titanium shock-pins
The lucky new owner will be pleased to know that this impressive Alfa Romeo fires up straight away, and eagerly awaits a wide-open throttle. With no known mechanical or electrical issues, the car has proved to be rather dependable over the years and will no doubt continue to shine on the track.
As mentioned, this Alfa Romeo benefits from a huge array of Alfaholics upgrades and motorsport modifications, which exceeds the value of 36 thousand pounds. Most notable of which is the Alfaholics big valve Monza Nord 2000cc package, along with billet rods. As part of the Alfaholics upgrade process, the car was been dyno tested and is set up perfectly for spirited driving. The vehicle also benefits from a recent alignment, with the new alignment figures also noted in the attached images.
A quick peek in the engine bay alone will give you an idea of the superb craftsmanship and build quality of this Alfa Romeo racecar. The bay is clean, tidy, well organized and packed full of expertly installed goodies. Without a doubt, the new owner is getting tremendous value for money, especially given the excellent mechanical state of this car.

Summary

This stunning Alfa Romeo 1300GT Giulia (Alfaholics 2000) race car is absolutely packed to the brim with the best in Alfa race bred parts and performs fantastically. It’s been expertly built, is specced to the high heavens and now presents buyers with a fantastic opportunity to own an exquisite race car, for a mere fraction of the price it would cost to build one from scratch.

If you’re in the market for a historic track car or weekend toy, look no further than this absolute gem.

Ammontare dell'offerta Incremento
Da £0 a £9,999 £100.00
Da £10,000 a £49,999 £250.00
Da £50,000 a £99,999 £500.00
£100,000 + £1,000.00

Superamento immediato dell'offerta
