The Appeal

From its launch in 1960 Bedford’s cab-forward TK became the workhorse of Europe, its innovative design lending it to many varied uses. This 1971 TK was converted by Belgian coachbuilder Jonckheere for the local Herentals fire department, which used it for many years until the vendor acquired it recently.
As you can see from the photos, it is in fantastic condition. We’re told that it was restored by the fire service, evidently to a very high standard. It appears to be factory standard and retain most if not all the many features fitted when in service. Various photographs with the vehicle confirm the provenance and show it in use in period.
Whether destined for shows, events, or simply to be admired, this Bedford TK is well worth a closer look.
The vendor says:
“The engine has only done 31,000 km. It runs like clockwork and starts at the first turn of the key. It still has a number of accessories, pumps, ladders, hoses, etc. I fell in love with it straight away and didn’t miss the chance to treat myself. Come and have a look, and like me, you won’t be able to resist.”
