The Appeal

The Silver Shadow opened up Rolls-Royce ownership for, well, not quite the masses, but certainly more people. It kick-started the firm’s ‘owner driver’ era and, for modern enthusiasts, there are few classic saloons that quite deliver the same sense of occasion and reward.

This 1975 car is the sort of Silver Shadow you hope to find. Attractively finished in Larch Green metallic with beige Everflex roof and leather interior, it is a much-loved example that has been in the same family since it was one year old. It is an original and unrestored car that presents well, with a few points to note in the photos.

The vendor tells us that it has been regularly serviced and is in good running order. Recent maintenance includes new spark plugs and HT leads. Any Rolls-Royce purchase is as much about heritage as it is about condition, which is where this car stands out.
