The Appeal

MG’s B roadster remained in production for so long because nothing else quite managed to deliver the same mix of rugged reliability and simple, unadulterated fun. The final versions got integrated impact bumpers and revised interiors. These later cars were also generally better built and tend to have softer, more comfortable ride.

This 1978 car is an ex-USA example with the side marker lights and Federal dashboard. The red paintwork and black vinyl interior are all in good, usable condition. This is the sort of classic you want to jump in and enjoy, rather than polish and show. There is scope to improve it, but perhaps that isn’t a priority.
